2022 MLB playoffs: World Series scores, full postseason bracket as Astros win title over Phillies

The Houston Astros are the 2022 World Series champions. The Astros beat the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 6 of the World Series on Saturday night to win their second title in franchise history and first since 2017. The Astros won at Minute Maid Park and became the first team to win a championship at home since the 2013 Red Sox.

These tournaments started with 12 teams, but the Yankees, Padres Guardians Dodgers Braves Mariners Mets, Cardinals The Blue Jays and Rays were eliminated before the World Series. The top two teams in each league (the Astros and Yankees in the American League and the Dodgers and Braves in the National League) received a bye and began their postseason journeys in the LDS. The Phillies knocked off the Padres in five games in the NLDS, and the Astros eliminated the Yankees from the ALCS.
