Aaftab Amin Poonawalla, the accused in the gruesome Delhi murder case, used a blood purification technique to learn about the human body after killing his roommate Shraddha, Delhi police said on Monday.

Investigation by the Delhi Police revealed that Aaftab killed Shraddha on May 18 and later started planning to dispose of the body. He told the police that he studied the human body to help them identify the body.

The police said that they have confiscated Aftab’s gadgets and they will be closely monitored. After verifying the gadgets and Google search history, the police can get Aaftab’s consent.

Police checked Aftab’s search history on Google

The police said that Aaftab, after searching on Google, cleaned the blood that was contaminated with chemicals and threw away the dirty clothes. He took the body to the bathroom and bought a refrigerator from a nearby store. Later, he cut the body into small pieces and put it in the freezer.

Officials say Shraddha Walkar (27) from Mumbai, met Aaftab while working at a call center in Mumbai.

“The two met on a dating app in Mumbai. They dated for three years and then shifted to Delhi. Soon after they both shifted to Delhi, Shraddha started pressuring the man to marry her,” the Additional Deputy Commissioner added. of Police (DCP), South Delhi Ankit Chauhan told ANI.

Constantly arguing

“The two had frequent arguments and were often out of control. In this incident that happened on May 18, the man got angry and strangled her,” said Mr Chouhan.

Shraddha cut into pieces

“The suspect told us that he cut her into pieces and dumped her parts in nearby forest areas of Chhatarpur Enclave. He has been arrested and investigation is on,” added DCP Chouhan.

Aaftab is said to have cut his body into 35 pieces, bought a refrigerator and kept it in it. Later he started dumping the body parts at different places in and around Delhi during night hours for the next 18 days, sources told ANI.

The sources further said that Aaftab used to sleep every day in the room where he found the dead body after killing Shraddha. Aaftab was cleaning out the refrigerator after disposing of the body parts.

Friends told the family that no contact had been established for two months, the family went to the police

In September, Shraddha’s friend informed her family that there had been no contact with Shraddha for the past two and a half months and her mobile number had also been switched off. His family also checked his social media accounts and found no updates at this time.

In November, Shraddha’s father Vikash Madan Walkar, a resident of Palghar (Maharashtra), approached the Mumbai police and filed a missing person’s complaint.

Investigation reveals Shraddha’s last place to be in Delhi

During the initial investigation, Shraddha’s last place was found in Delhi, and on the basis of this, the case was transferred to the Delhi police.

Shraddha’s father told the police about his daughter’s relationship with Aaftab and alleged that he was involved in his daughter’s absence.

During investigation, it was found that Aaftab and Shraddha had come to Delhi and started living in a rented flat in Chhattarpur Pahadi area. The police during the investigation followed Aaftab and arrested him.

Aaftab, when questioned, confessed to the crime and said that they fought many times as Shraddha was pressuring him to get married.

“The suspect has been arrested and a case under IPC section 302 (murder) and 201 (disappearance of evidence of the crime committed) has been registered at the Mehrauli police station,” officials said.

The police also found more bones in the apartment rented by Aaftab and the officials said that the efforts to find the remaining organs are still going on.
