Airway Management, the world’s most researched oral appliance manufacturer, has announced the launch of flexTAPa leading lab developed oral appliance designed to treat patients with snoring and mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea.
The flexTAP enters the market as the most user-friendly and user-friendly oral appliance to date. Its easy-to-programmable design and flexible technology remove lab barriers to optimal creation, so doctors can get timely treatment and patients can use the device effectively to treat snoring and moderate-to-moderate respiratory disease.
Additionally, the flexTAP is the first of its kind to use the new patented Vertex Technology paired with the flexTAP Mouth Shield comfort device to promote nasal breathing, prevent dry mouth and reduce excess saliva for added comfort. Uniquely designed with no metal parts and a wide range of advancement without the need to turn off hooks, Vertex Technology allows the mouth to open vertically and horizontally simultaneously during jaw advancement.
“Vertex Technology allows more space in the mouth of the tongue and reduces the development of the jaw,” said Dr. Keith Thornton, inventor of the Thornton Adjustable Positioner (TAP). “This will not only help patients get better treatment results, but will reduce the side effects.”
As Airway Management continually strives for more accessible and reliable treatment options, flexTAP trials found that physicians experienced shorter delivery times and improved treatment outcomes with less protrusion. Not only is the flexTAP the lightest custom TAP yet, but it is also listed as one of the most affordable Airway Management devices for both clinicians and labs.
flexTAP addresses poor market acceptance and adherence of oral contraceptives, as well as recalls 16 mCPAP. Airway is starting to release flexTAP through their in-house lab Airway Labsbut they look forward to launching with their partner labs in early 2023.
