Amber Heard’s Twitter disappears after ex Elon Musk’s $44B takeover

Elon Musk’s multi-billion dollar Twitter takeover has cost even the biggest celebrities as far as reviews go.

Amber Heard’s account has disappeared just days after she bought the platform for $44 billion, as her handle @realAmberHeard could not be found on Thursday.

While some social media watchers suspected she may have wanted a break from the endless backlash following her public courtroom stand against husband Johnny Depp, others questioned whether it had anything to do with to Musk.

The couple dated in 2016, kept their romance under wraps for a year before going public, and split in 2018.

The two first met on the set of “Machete Kills” in 2013, in which Heard starred and Musk only made a cameo. At the time Musk was with his then wife Talulah Riley, and Heard with her husband Depp.

It wasn’t until 2016 that Musk started dating Heard, but the new love did not come without turmoil. In 2017, they split for the first time – which Musk described as “amicable” – then got back together, and then split again for good.

But now that Heard’s Twitter account has mysteriously disappeared, speculators are wondering if the seemingly friendly relationship may have turned sour, although it’s unclear. Reps for the “Aquaman” actress and Musk have not returned The Post’s requests for comment.

Meanwhile, Musk’s take on social media has been nothing but chaos, as more stars leave the platform after the app’s new owner demands $8 to keep their blue tokens.

Earlier this week, Musk hit back at critics who blasted him for raising the monthly fee for the verified status, but the tech mogul won’t budge on his decision – that $12 less than his original subscription plan.

“Musk makes me think of Tom Sawyer, who gets the job of whitewashing a fence as punishment. Tom makes his friends do the work for him, and make them pay for the privilege. That’s what Musk wants to do with Twitter. No, no, no,” King later wrote in a follow-up fall.

Meanwhile, other stars are preparing for an online war, challenging Musk’s lofty views and “crackpot conspiracy theories”.

“Just hours after taking control of this platform, its owner spread crackpot conspiracy theories about trying to assassinate Speaker Pelosi. Now is not the time to leave. Now is the time to fight for our Democracy. Vote blue. Hold Congress. Then explore options,” Reiner fall.

“Stories written @ this $8/mo service are annoying. From a proposed $99/year annual fee when 8×12 = $96 to what about the benefits of Twitter Blue now with NFT avatars? Where did that go? Also how to give a [blue check mark] & then say pay me? Was I on probation for 13 years?” criticized actor William Shatner on Thursday.

Musk’s surprise overhaul of the app has even forced ad agencies to “stop” running ads on the app, as Tesla’s CEO proposes major changes to the platform. The changes are so big and so quick, that Musk, as the interim CEO, pushes his employees to work around the clock.
