Inter Milan went on to claim an important away win over fellow Champions League champions Atalanta in Serie A.

Simone Inzaghi’s side had to come from behind at the Gewiss Stadium as Ademola Lookman scored his seventh league goal of the season from the penalty spot to put the hosts ahead.

Edin Dzeko drew the visitors level before half-time with a smart finish after tiring out Lautaro Martinez, then added the second 10 minutes after the restart.

The lead was extended just after the hour mark when Jose Luis Palomino put one into his own net.

Although the centre-back made amends with a goal at the right end to make a dramatic finish to the game, Inter went on to take the three points.

Inter are level on points with third-placed Lazio, but their stay in the top four could be short-lived with Juventus having the chance to overtake them again by beating Lazio earlier in the evening.

Elsewhere, manager Jose Mourinho was sent off before him ROMA the team salvaged a 1-1 home draw for him Turin thanks to Nemanja Matic’s 94th-minute strike in an action-packed final at the Stadio Olimpico.

Karol Linetty put Torino ahead in the early 55th minute and, after Mourinho was shown an 89th-minute red card for attacking the referees, Andrea Belotti hit the post with a stoppage-time penalty. But there was still time for Matic to grab a point from Roma.
