Jessica Simpson’s “teenage fantasy” came to life when she started hooking up with a “big movie star” – only to find out he was caught.
The singer detailed her “sexy” but “difficult” relationship with the unnamed actor in “Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single,” a “short and true story” released Wednesday.
The “Dukes of Hazzard” alum, 42, was on a break from Nick Lachey as the “hot” A-lister “looked” [her] up and down” at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.
“He was solving me with his eyes,” Simpson told readers.
Although the “Blonde Ambition” star got the man’s number, she eventually reconciled with Lachey, 49, and didn’t call.
However, the “Newlyweds” alums split in 2006, and then Simpson shared a kiss with the unnamed movie star at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The smooch gave her “a warm rush all the way down my body.”
The mystery man told Simpson at the time that his relationship with his girlfriend was “completely over”.
He and Simpson went on to hang out in nightclubs, at her mutual friend’s house and even on a movie set.
In the end, the fashion designer began to feel “like a call girl” who was only “having sex” with the famous man.
She recalled meeting him at a hotel through the building’s private entrance and walking up a fire escape to reach his room, which she later realized was to “hide me from her chick.”
Simpson wrapped things up, writing, “I didn’t care if my teenage fantasy came to life, it wasn’t a choice that the only girl, myself, would be proud of.”
The fling was not mentioned in Simpson’s “Open Book” memoir, which came out in February 2020 and is currently being adapted into a scripted series.
But Simpson’s book covered her other high-profile romances with singer John Mayer, stuntman Johnny Knoxville, athlete Tony Romo and more stars.
The actress has been married to NFL player Eric Johnson since 2014. The couple shares daughters Maxwell, 10, and Birdie, 3, as well as son Ace, 9.
