Married at First Sight heads to Nashville, Tenn., for its sixteenth season where 10 singers go on a journey to meet the potential loves of their lives during this 23-episode season .
Typically, the couples marry a complete stranger, travel to their honeymoon, and then move in together as husband and wife. After the 8-week social experiment ends, each newlywed must face the harsh reality of their marital status and make a life-changing decision: stay married and start a future together or get a divorce and go their separate ways.
Ahead of the premiere of Married at First Sight, Entertainment Tonightand Kevin Frazier will entertain MAFS: Special Matchmaking on December 28 at 8pm ET on Lifetime, where viewers will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the intense process involved in matching the five Nashville couples who get married at first sight.
Then, on December 29, there will be a second Lifetime special, MAFS: Starting Special, when Frazier discusses and debates the five newly-matched Nashville couples who are going to be married at first sight with a panel of super fans and gets their predictions about the decisions each couple will make on Decision Day. Moreover, before MAFS loved ones will reveal updates about their lives and current relationships.
After the season 16 premiere at 10pm ET on January 4, Keshia Knight Pulliam will entertain Married at First Sight: Afterpartywhen she gets the inside scoop straight from the throw.

Dr. Pepper Schwartz is Professor of Sociology at the University of Washington. She received BA and MA, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington University in St. Louis and her Masters of Philosophy and Ph.D. in Sociology from Yale University. She is currently Chair of the Advisory Committee for the Ph.D in sexuality studies at the Institute for Integrative Studies in San Francisco. She is also the Chair of the Intimacy and Aging research group at the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University as well as a senior fellow and board member of the Council on the Contemporary Family, and the author of 22 books .
