4. Inter Milan

The Nerazzurri are ten points behind Napoli and have conceded a lot of goals already (24 in 17 games, the worst record in the top ten). If they want to get back into the title race, they definitely need to stop conceding so many goals and improve their defensive performance, especially against lesser teams. However, Saturday’s draw against AC Monza showed they are still far from a quick return to the table after conceding a late goal that led to a 2-2 final draw. They are probably already out of the title race.

3. Juventus

The Whites have had a terrible start to the season when Allegri’s position seemed to be in danger. However, the Italian coach turned his situation around and managed to win eight games in a row without conceding a single goal. These are some incredible numbers that showed how things can change quickly in this sport and Juventus now have the chance to close in on the Serie A leaders if they win away to Napoli on Friday. Allegri managed to create a nice mix in the squad between young and experienced players. The return of the main player Federico Chiesa it was also another big help for the team that is already fully in contention for the title. Fans still hope to see more entertaining football, but when results come in like this, there isn’t much to be critical about.

2. AC Milan

The Reds are still as close as Juventus (seven points behind) at the top of the league despite a draw against AS Roma after being 2-0 down before the final minutes of the match. Pioli’s team are the current holders and know how to win a Scudetto, as they did last season for the first time in eleven years. The main players like Rafael Leao AND Sandro Tonali they are showing their best and can lead the whole team to another one. However, the match against AS Roma showed that they are not as strong in defense as they were last season and this could definitely affect the coming months.

1. Naples

Luciano Spalletti’s side are still top of the table despite losing their first game of the season against Inter last week. Napoli needed to respond after their first defeat and they did so away against Sampdoria (2-0) showing that they are still a strong team and are favorites to win their first league title in over thirty years. Although key player Khvicha Kvaratskhelia seems to be slightly fit again, Viktor Osimhen scored his 10th goal in 13 Serie A games this season, and Napoli are now seven points clear of their title contenders and rivals. On Friday, the Azzurri take on Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus in what could become a pivotal game in the title race. If Napoli avoid defeat against the whites, they will undoubtedly be the main contenders to win a historic Scudetto.
