Kish Fuller scored in the 81st minute to give Costa Rica a 1-0 win over Japan on Sunday as both teams took three points from two games in World Cup Group E.
Japan remain in the same group as Spain, while Costa Rica face Germany in their final group game. After losing 2-1 to Germany in the opening match, the Japanese team could only stand in the knockout stages. The Japanese scored a late goal against Costa Rica, but goalkeeper Keelana Navas and the Costa Rican defense kept them on the ropes to take the lead.
