Cameroon kept their hopes of reaching the last 16 of the World Cup alive after a six-goal draw against Serbia in Group G and a two-goal win.
Cameroon took the lead through Jean-Charles Castelletto, but Strahinja Pavlovic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic responded to give Serbia a half-time advantage.
Aleksandar Mitrovic completed the third for Serbia and they looked to be on course for a victory that would put them in a strong position to progress.
However, the unstoppable Lions roared back three minutes later thanks to Vincent Abubakar’s magnificent opener and Eric Maxinchopo-Motin’s equaliser.
Mitrovic fired wide in the opening moments after Dusan Tadic’s header.
Both teams lost their opening matches and the result leaves them two points behind Brazil and Switzerland, who meet on Monday (16:00 GMT).
In arguably the most entertaining game of the tournament so far, Serbia started brightly and Mitrovic twice came close to giving himself the lead. The Fulham striker hit the post after a wide shot after the ball fell inside the box.
Nicolas N’Koulou headed home a corner and Cameron headed home from close range for his first international goal.
Serbia did not panic and headed into first-half stoppage time.
Pavlovic scored Serbia’s first World Cup goal in the 335th minute before Milinkovic-Savic slotted past Cameroon goalkeeper Devis Epassy, who was playing after Andre Onana was sent off for a disciplinary action.
More to follow.
